The 38mm Steel & Blacked-Out Adventurer

A client came to us with a cool idea: he wanted a watch with his own initials on the dial to make it totally unique. This project, which we’ve called the "K.M Project," turned out to be a fun challenge. We made it in two versions—one with all-black parts and another in classic steel. The big difference between the two is the hands and the case color: one has sleek black Baton hands, and the other uses Merc hands for a more Vintage vibe.

The Dial

The Adventurer dial is already a favorite for its simple, timeless design. But the best thing? You can customize it! For this build, the client’s initials were added to the dial, making it extra special. Whether it’s initials, a message, or something else meaningful, this dial lets you make it your own.

The Hands

For the blacked-out version, we went with black baton hands that match the overall dark theme and look really sharp. The steel version got merc hands, which add a bit of classic charm. Both options look great and fit the style of the watch perfectly.

The Case

This build uses a 38mm case from Namoki that’s just 9.5mm thick. It’s super slim, so it feels comfortable and not bulky at all. The blacked-out version has a matte black finish, while the steel version sticks to a polished, classic look. Both versions fit well on almost any wrist size.

The Movement

Inside, we used the Miyota 90S5 movement. It’s super reliable and keeps everything running smoothly. It’s a solid choice for anyone who wants a watch that’s as dependable as it is stylish.

The Strap: Built for Everyday Wear

We paired the watch with a CTS rubber strap, which is both comfy and tough. It’s finished with a black brushed butterfly clasp that matches the blacked-out theme perfectly. It’s a great strap for daily wear.

The Crystal

To protect the dial, we used a flat sapphire crystal with clear anti-reflective (AR) coating. It’s scratch-resistant and makes the watch easy to read in all kinds of light.

Why Customization Is Awesome

This build shows how much a small personal touch can make a big difference. Adding initials or a custom message to the dial turns a nice watch into something truly one-of-a-kind. It’s a great way to make a timepiece that’s meaningful and personal.
