Parts & Materials
Movement
We use Japanese NH36, NH35, NH38, NH70, NH71, NH72, 7S26 and Miyota's Premium 9 series movements to power our watches. With these trusted choices, your timepiece ticks reliably, ensuring you never miss a beat.
Case
The case of a watch is like its sturdy foundation, holding everything together. Its size often reflects the overall dimensions of the timepiece.
Caseback
The back of a watch is its secure enclosure, keeping all components snug within the case. It can be either plain or "exhibition," offering a peek into the mesmerizing inner workings of the timepiece.
Bezel
The steel ring surrounding the glass of a watch is called the bezel. In many watches, especially those designed for diving or timing purposes, the bezel is rotatable. This feature allows for timing functions such as tracking elapsed time or setting a second time zone in dual-time watches.
Insert
Usually made from materials such as aluminum, steel, ceramic or glass. It comes in a variety of colors and designs. Replacing this part dramatically changes the visual appeal of the timepiece.
Chapter Ring
Circle / Ring around the watch dial (under the crystal). It often has little minute marks to help read time accurately. Most clients prefer it plain (brushed or polished) to give a watch a minimalist appearance.
Dial
Commonly referred to as the "watch face," typically includes the brand logo and hour markers.
Hands
Hands of the watch used to indicate the hour, minute, and seconds. They come in various styles and colors, offering a fantastic opportunity to customize your watch and make it unique.
Crown
Crowns are used to adjust the time. They come in various designs and may feature engravings. Some crowns are "screw-down," requiring unscrewing from the case before use, offering enhanced security.
Crystal
Watch crystal is situated above the dial, hands, and chapter ring. In the watches we create, we predominantly use sapphire crystals due to their exceptional scratch resistance and versatility in styles. One of the most sought-after crystal types is the Double Dome Sapphire, known for its transformative effect on the original flat appearance, enhancing both aesthetics and durability.
Bracelet & Strap
Bracelet or strap is responsible for securing the watch to your wrist.
Personalization
Custom Dial
Customizing the dial offers a unique way to express your style and make the timepiece distinctly yours. This includes the dial style, color combination, initials and etc.
Engraving
We provide custom laser engraving on our watch casebacks, to make your watch even more special!
